Ka'idojin Aiki na Musamman
Allon LCD yana dogara ne akan layin hasken baya (layin LED) don fitar da haske fari, wanda ke ratsa matattarar launi da yadudduka na lu'ulu'u don daidaita rabon RGB. Sabanin haka, pixels na OLED suna haskaka kansu ba tare da buƙatar hasken baya ko lu'ulu'u na ruwa ba, suna aiki azaman "matrix na fitilun launuka masu ƙananan yawa."
LCD yana fama da baƙin haske na gaske saboda ɓullar haske daga rufewar lu'ulu'u mai ruwa mara kyau, wanda ke haifar da zubar da jini a cikin hasken baya. Cikakken aikin hasken baya yana cinye ƙarin ƙarfi, yayin da ƙuntatawa na tsarin ke iyakance ƙira masu siriri da lanƙwasa mai mahimmanci.
Fa'idodin OLED
1. Sirara Mai Tsauri da Sauƙi: Tsarin OLED mara hasken baya yana ba da damar ƙira masu naɗewa (misali, allon Samsung mai lanƙwasa) tare da kauri ya ragu da kashi 67% idan aka kwatanta da LCD.

3. Daidaito & Ingantaccen Makamashi: Ikon matakin pixel yana tallafawa Nunin Kullum, yana rage yawan amfani da wutar lantarki da sama da 30% idan aka kwatanta da LCD.
Kalubale ga OLED
Kayan halitta suna haifar da haɗarin ƙonewa (tsofaffin pixel marasa daidaito), amma tsawon rai na iya wuce shekaru 3 ta hanyar kiyaye haske ƙasa da kashi 60% da kuma guje wa hotuna marasa motsi. Masana'antun kamar Samsung suna ba da garantin ƙonewa. Lura: Wasu LCD masu araha kuma suna amfani da rage girman PWM, wanda zai iya haifar da ciwon ido.
LCD ya kasance mai inganci ga kasuwanni masu matsakaicin zuwa ƙananan, yayin da OLED ke haifar da sabbin abubuwa masu inganci.
